SIDE NOTE: When getting dressed this morning, I pulled out a jacket that I purchased before I left to come here. Then, it wouldn't close in the front, and when zipped, it was obviously TOO SMALL. Well.... Today it fits perfect and maybe a little bit big in places. Very motivating and it made me SMILE :-)
We headed across town to St. Pete, to the swimming facility on the beach where we swim. Trainers today were Doug and Heather. We started walking "somewhere", and then found out, they canceled Beach Boot, and we took a nice brisk "Walk in the Park". 3.5 MILES. This was a big for me. When I arrived on DAY 1, we walked to Cardio Tennis which was 1.5 miles and almost died. I was LAST and really didn't think I was going to make it. And only 11 days later, I walked double the amount, briskly, and it was easy. I couldn't believe it.
WHAT WE ACCOMPLISHED TODAY:
- 3.5 Mile Brisk Walk
- 30 Minute Ab Session - Instead of Swimming
- 75 Minutes of Hooping:
- Ok this was a blast. Hula Hoop Exercise Program. I LOVE IT and am thinking about bringing it to Orlando, for one of our weekly classes at Metro Movement & Aerial Arts. You can check it out at: www.behoopful.com.
- 45 Minute Personal Training with Doug - It was a GREAT SESSION. I have video that I will upload once I get it.
ONE MORE DAY: Tomorrow I get weighed in and measured at 7AM. I am not sure how I feel about this. A little anxious and definitely curious. I can see and feel the changes, but I am not going to dwell on the numbers, they will come. I have already accomplished more than I ever expected here. It doesn't matter if the number is the same, I feel STRONG, MOTIVATED and ready to work toward the goals I have set for myself.
RICHIE: I love you and thank you so much for being unconditionally accepting, and supportive during this time. I don't think this would have ever happened, without you standing behind me and telling me "I CAN DO ANYTHING". Somewhere along the way, I forgot that, but You were right! "I Gotta Feelin" Lisa Z. is right around the corner and I PROMISE this is going to change OUR life together!
MOM & DAD: Thank you for making me. Your support through this has given me more than you know. Mom, I know you were worried about me, but worry no more. I am headed in the right direction and hopefully, I'm gonna do everything I can to get this Insulin thing under control. I love you both very much!
METROPOLIS STAFF: Thank you for pulling my slack. I know my time was limited during these last 2 weeks, but I thank you all for grabbing hold and making it all happen in my absence. This makes me feel good and I am very proud of you all, and can't wait to get back to work on Monday!
FRIENDS: THANK YOU!!! All of the encouragement here on the Blog and Facebook has been the fire under my A$$. It helped me push through, when I just didn't think I was going to make it. For those of you I do business with. I thank you for your patience. I hope my absence didn't wreak too much havoc for you and your deadlines :-)
Well that's it for tonight. I leave here tomorrow around 11AM and probably won't be blogging for the next few days. I will post my stats after I get them and will try and keep updated over the next week, and then I am back here starting the 21st.
I just realized that I never included anywhere in the blog where I am at. You can check it out here:
